The default unlocking process in Ultimate is time-consuming. You unlock characters by playing Versus matches, clearing Classic Mode, or completing specific tasks in the World of Light adventure mode. On a physical Nintendo Switch, this might take 10-15 hours. On an emulator, where settings get tweaked, crashes happen, or save data gets corrupted, re-doing that grind is frustrating.
