Land Rover B1d9f11 2021 May 2026

Owners with basic DIY skills and a $50 multimeter can often resolve it by replacing the overhead console with a revised part. For everyone else, a one-hour diagnostic at an independent Land Rover specialist (or a warranty claim at the dealer) will put the issue to rest.

Remember: Do not ignore this code. The underlying short circuit will slowly drain your battery and, in rare cases, can overheat the LIN bus wiring, leading to more expensive repairs down the line. Address B1D9F11 promptly, and your 2021 Land Rover will continue to deliver the luxury and off-road capability you bought it for. Have you encountered B1D9F11 on your 2021 Land Rover? Share your repair experience in the comments below.

If you own a 2021 Land Rover (whether it’s a Velar, Discovery, Range Rover Sport, or Evoque) and your diagnostic scanner has just thrown up the code B1D9F11 , you are not alone. This is a relatively common yet often misunderstood fault code specific to late-model Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles.

| Repair Scenario | Parts Cost | Labor Cost | Total (USD) | |----------------|------------|------------|--------------| | Overhead console replacement (DIY) | $120–$180 (used/remanufactured) | $0 | $120–$180 | | Overhead console (Independent shop) | $220 (new OEM) | $150 | $370 | | Overhead console (Land Rover dealer) | $320 (revised part) | $250 | $570 | | Door handle light replacement (Dealer) | $85 per handle | $200 | $285 | | Wiring repair (A-pillar chafe) | $10 (tape/sleeve) | $300 (diagnosis + repair) | $310 |

In the world of automotive diagnostics, codes that start with "B" indicate (interior electronics, climate control, airbags, and convenience modules). While B1D9F11 sounds cryptic, understanding it can save you a costly trip to the dealer.
