The music of Kasoor was so popular that the audio cassettes sold over 1 million units in India alone—a massive feat for a non-star-driven film. Vikram Bhatt, who had previously directed Ghulam (1998), brought his signature "Bhatt Camp" aesthetic to Kasoor . The film is drenched in shadows, cigarette smoke, and moody blues.
